Chase Spears served as a U.S. Army public affairs officer for 20 years, retiring as a Major in 2023. He served in key roles including Brigade Communication Director, Company Commander, and Public Affairs Training Advisor. Among other pursuits, he enjoys writing about civil-military relations, communication ethics, and policy. Chase is widely published, appearing in publications including The American Mind, Real Clear Defense, The Washington Post, and The Baltimore Sun, in addition to book chapters published by Army University Press and Routledge. Dr. Spears is also sought out for expert commentary on military and political topics by media organizations such as News Nation, The Gateway Pundit, and American Family News.
